Each winter a group of girls from Elmwood School in Ottawa come to Chocpaw for a 3 day dog sled expedition. 41 girls divided into 3 groups. Every year these are great groups. Hard working & enthusiastic.
Instructions were done the night before. By 9:45 all the sleds are loaded & tied down. 25 sleds.
This is a group effort. Everyone hauls dogs from the yard to the line.
Everyone helps harness dogs.
Some hold leaders while others hook team dogs.
Team effort ensures a quick & orderly hook up.
It really is amazing how quickly we can hook several expeditions with everyone helping.
